small budget

If it costs 6 to 7 times more to obtain a new customer than it does to keep and sell to a current customer, it makes sense to direct a small budget to advertise to those people that already buy from you.

How do you advertise to current customers?

If people call your business and they’re on hold for any period of time, you could use on-hold messages to keep callers informed about your specials, add-ons, and cross-sell your other products or services.

Use customized digital signage in a waiting room or customer lounge to promote a referral or frequent buyer program, to reward those customers that already support your business.

Retail stores can benefit from overhead messaging to direct shoppers to a certain aisle or encourage them to ask an associate about special in-store values.

And if you use an email list to communicate with clients about their accounts, take the opportunity to advertise your other services that the client might not already know about. You can even add in a video or animation to make it more enticing.

These are just a few options when it comes to advertising to your current clientele. Do you have any other ideas? Let us know in the comments!
