Q&A: What kind of digital media can I use in my office?

digital mediaWhen you think of digital media, you probably don't picture an office environment. You're more likely thinking of someplace loud, flashy or bright, like a retail store or restaurant. But digital media can be successfully implemented in business offices too...you just have to use them the right way!

Digital signage can be used in reception areas to entertain visitors with fun facts about your business, and inform them about your company's charity work, upcoming projects, or new partnerships. You could run a television feed within a branded frame, if visitors will be waiting for longer periods of time.

Digital signage can also be used to keep associates informed of new products or company events. Feature an employee of the month, share birthdays and anniversaries, company news, or important deadlines.

Interactive digital signage can be used for training employees. Imagine a touch screen kiosk with access to all your training materials, with built-in assessments. Team members could use a kiosk to access their HR and benefits information, or the company's Intranet.

In addition, offices are a great place to use overhead music! It can help motivate employees and keep the workday from dragging. Just make sure the music is edited so nobody is offended by unsavory lyrics.
